Who loves garlic mushrooms? We do in this household and have them quite often. Why the shop bought ones are OK. These homemade ones are so yummy and very easy to make.
You can use any size mushrooms for this but I find button mushrooms work best. You will need some button mushrooms, fresh or ready minced garlic, Parmesan cheese and some lemon juice, the squeezy type you use on pancakes. If you are using fresh garlic you will need to mince a whole bulb in preparation.
- Pre-heat oven to 180c.
- Whilst the oven is heating up remove the stalks from the mushrooms.
- Spoon the garlic into the mushrooms where the stalks used to be, be careful not to over fill them.
- Add a very small dash of lemon juice to each mushroom, on top of the garlic.
- Sprinkle as much Parmesan as you like on top of the mushrooms.
- Bake in the pre-heated oven for 15-20 minutes.
These go great with a pasta dish or pizza.
