Vegan Christmas Cake – the soaking
I love a Christmas cake and it’s that time of year so I needed to find a recipe that’s vegan friendly, meaning my daughter can enjoy it too.
I found this one from the Domestic Gothess site and it looks promising so I’m giving it a go. I hope you don’t mind me linking to it, Hannah.
The first step is to soak the dried fruit and cherries in booze for a day or three. I’m using brandy and it was very difficult not to eat the cherries as I was cutting them.
Now to wait for at least a day. Tomorrow is too busy so i’ll be back on Monday with the next step.
